Howard PS pupils and staff learnt more about Down's Syndrome and wore their odd socks to school!

22nd Mar 2019

In Assembly today we welcomed Rev. and Mrs Dodds to speak to us. Mrs Dodds explained to everyone about Down's Syndrome and how people born with Down's Syndrome have an extra chromosome.

The idea for Odd Socks day annually is  because the chromosomes look like odd socks.

Mrs Dodds reminded us of Psalm 139 vs 14, " I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

At the end of Assembly Rev. Dodds gave all children a sticker reminding everyone they are all unique and are wonderfully made.

Thank you for taking the time to come to Assembly to speak to us.
