P4/5 and P5 have been studying the effect of cold water on the body. They learned how cold water can affect their ability to swim as it will make them gasp, decrease their body temperature and increase their heart rate. To investigate this further the pupils were given the opportunity to submerge their hands in ice cold water. Some pupils were able to stick the chill better than others!
