Mental Health Week!✨
This year’s theme for Mental Health Week was ‘Know yourself, Grow yourself’.
Children in Nursery explored naming our emotions through the The Colour Monster story book by Anna Llenas. We focused on the importance to open up and discuss how we feel, even when our thoughts/feelings are confusing like the mixed up Colour Monster.
- We created our own Colour Monsters with using very wet paint, cotton balls and hammers to make a splat! Then we added legs, arms and eyes!
- We loved the colour experiment using food colouring, dish soap and milk. It was very calming to watch.
- We made sausage sandwiches on the firepit, watching the flames and singing songs made us happy (like the yellow Colour Monster).
- We made love heart suncatchers for our windows using very sticky sellotape and tissue paper!
