P4 Create a Castle!
On Friday 16th March P4 enjoyed a trip to Ranfurly house to learn about the Hill of the O'Neill, and to create a castle using junk art material. We began our trip with some storytelling about the Flight of the Earls and history of the O'Neill family. Pupils were shown the Hill of the O'Neill, discussed why a castle was built on a hill and had a fantastic view of Dungannon! To conclude our trip pupils worked in groups to create a castle from recycled materials. The pupils worked really well together and loved making their very own castle. They even continued to work on their castles when we returned to school! Thank you to Peter and Hazel at Ranfurly House for such a fun, interesting and informative trip. (There will be more photos to follow of our completed castles!!)
