The School Council were delighted to invite Mr Needham, our Kenya Sunbeam Ministries (KSM) rep, to join us during our November meeting.
School Council members told Mr Needham about our non-uniform day fundraiser on Friday 22nd November. The total amount raised for Kenya Sunbeam Ministries is £294. Many thanks to all HPS families for so kindly donating £1 per pupil. What a fantastic total!
School Council members asked Mr Needham several questions to find out some more information. At KSM school begins at 7am and continues until 4pm! There are some animals at KSM to provide milk and eggs for cooking meals. The children wear a purple school uniform at KSM. Their Christmas gift is a school bag with pencil case equipment and a small toy. KSM is a safe place for children to be looked after and cared for.
Mr Needham was very impressed by our interest in the work of Kenya Sunbeam Ministries. Mr Needham brought greetings to HPS from all at Kenya Sunbeam Ministries and he thanked us for our support of the child sponsorship programme which provides food, education and housing to those in need.
